Go on a Refreshing Swim Near the City
One of the best things to do in DC during the summer is to get outside. One of the best places to do that is at Rock Creek Park. This is a huge outdoor space with a lot to offer. You are free to explore the trails and bike around the park. There are also various hidden gems, like pools and bike trails you can take advantage of.
You'll definitely want to hit up the area's nature center to learn more about the history of the park. There are also several areas along the Potomac River you can take a dip in if you want to cool down.
